Meeting Minutes

For those of you that were not able to attend the LoCo Annual Club Meeting after the October Club Monthly on Saturday, October 24th, the meeting minutes have been uploaded.

We are pleased to announce that we received the 2/3 majority vote (45-0-1) required to approve the proposed LoCo Disc Golf Club Charter. Thanks to everyone that took the time to create the charter and to all of you that read it and provided input and feedback.

Annual Elections

The LoCo Disc Golf Club Charter calls for the annual election of 5 club officers who will form the LoCo Disc Golf Club Board of Directors. If you are a current 2015 LoCo Disc Golf Club member and are interested in becoming a LoCo Disc Golf Club Officer, please send your candidate submission to [email protected] no later than November 20th, 2015. Submissions should include a brief statement of why they are running and candidates are invited to use the LoCo Monthly on Saturday, November 28th to address the club and officially introduce themselves.

All current members of the LoCo Disc Golf Club are invited to vote. Balloting will take place online and will open on December 12th and close on December 25th. For those that are unable to vote online, there will be an opportunity to cast your ballot during the LoCo December Monthly on December 26th, 2015. Election results will be announced at the LoCo December Monthly and elected officers will take office on January 1st, 2016.

LoCo October Monthly

On the heels of last month’s LoCo Open, it’s time to resume our regularly scheduled programming with the LoCo October Monthly this Saturday, October 24th at Franklin Park. As always, there will be cash and prizes for all divisions, CTPs, and an ace pot!

Check in between 8:30-9:00 at the Rotary Pavilion near Hole 10.

This month, LoCo Disc Golf Club is partnering with Thrive DC to hold our first ever ‘Share the Warmth’ winter clothes drive.

As you begin to prepare switch out your wardrobe in anticipation of the coming colder months, please take a moment to set aside any coats, hoodies, gloves, hats, scarves, blankets, and even sleeping bags you no longer need and bring them with you to the LoCo October Monthly at Franklin Park. We’ll collect everything and drop it off in time for Thrive DC’s first distribution event on November 2nd.

Especially desired are men’s coats in sizes XL and larger since many of Thrive DC’s patrons like to layer up during the winter. Don’t have any used winter items? No problem. Thrive DC also is asking for packages of new socks and thermals.
